N2  - The objective of this research was to know the process of implementation of
the media transfer for blind collection at the Resource Center IX of SLB N 1 Bantul
Yogyakarta and difficulties that were occurred. This research used qualitative
descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews were the
informants chosen by using the purposive sampling, and documents, archives, or
photos. The obtained data were analyzed by the Miles and Huberman?s theory,
including data reduction, data display, data serving and verification. The result of this
research are the implementation of media transfer for the blind collection carried out
by the Resource Center IX consists of two ways, manual method and using software.
There are three types of media transfer models, first for language books without
formulas or pictures. Second, for books that contain formulas such as mathematics,
physics and chemistry books. And, finally for the maps or books that contain pictures.
In this study, researcher suggests the library to making written rules regarding the
making of formulas or pictures, this aims to make it easier for officers to transfer media.
To overcome obstacles related to the quality of human resources, it can be overcome
by holding regular training in stages so that the ability of each individual remains honed
and both those who already understand or those who are just starting to learn can work
together.
