Lipase can be produced by a microorganism such as fungi and bacteria. Lipase-producing bacteria or known as lipolytic bacteria found in waste that contains fats. Lipolityc bacteria could be founded in tannery waste because it contains a lot of fats. The purpose of this research was to isolated lipolytic bacteria from solid waste of tannery waste from PT Adi Satria Abadi, Sitimulyo, Bantul, DIY and also to assay lipase's activity as a biosurfactant. Isolation of lipolytic bacteria was done using selective media Rhodamine-B Olive Oil Agar. Assay of lipase activity was done using the copper soap colorimetry method with olive oil as a substrate. Assay of biosurfactant activity was done using Oil Displacement Area (ODA) and Emulsification Index (EI24). Characterization of biosurfactant was done using FTIR. The result of this research was gained four gram-negative isolates of lipolytic bacteria. These isolates are LP3-1, LP3-2, LP1-1, and LPM1. The lipase activity of isolate LP3-1 was optimum at temperature 45{$^0$}C and pH 5, isolate LP3-2 optimum at temperature 40{$^0$}C and pH 9, isolate LP1-1 optimum at temperature 50{$^0$}C and pH 8, and isolate LPM1 optimum at temperature 45{$^0$}C and pH 6. The highest ODA and EI24 were LP1-1 and LPM1, with each of its values were 34,85 cm2 and 41,99\%. Biosurfactant type of LP1-1 and LPM1 was glycolipid.} }
