EEG is a tool used to record electrical activity in the human brain. The aim of this research is to make a non-clinical EEG device which is portable and low cost. The research procedure is divided into three stages. The first stage was to design an EEG system using the Eagle application. The second stage is to make an EEG system which consists of the main series of the EEG system, power supply, Arduino Uno and two electrodes. The third stage is testing the EEG system which includes testing the instrumentation amplifier, the Op-Amp amplifier, the low pass filter, the power supply, the consistency of the Arduino ADC and the initial EEG performance to record brain signals. Based on the test results, it was found that the instrumentation gain and the Op-Amp gain were 51 times and 100 times, respectively, with an average accuracy rate of 99.26% and 97.484%. Meanwhile, the cut-off frequency obtained is 70 Hz. The results of the comparison between the measurement of the brain signal pattern on the EEG made with the Emotiv Epoc standard tool with the placement of the electrodes at the AF3 and A2 (ground) points show almost the same pattern. So it can be concluded that the EEG has been successfully used to record brain activity in the frontal lobe area. %Z Pembimbing : Dr. Nita Handayani, S.Si, M.Si
