description: This study aims to determine spiritual transformation process of male santri who are former drug addicts and to determine what factors influence their spiritual transformation. The research method used is a qualitative research method with case study approach. Informants in this study were 2 adult male santri who former drug addicts at the Ora Aji Islamic boarding school. The data collection methods used interviews, observation, and documentation. Results of this study indicate that the spiritual transformation experienced informants SN and MD was initiated by feeling of saturation with their life habits which then led to desire to repent. This desire was later helped by presence of gus Miftah, who made informant decide to become a santri and quit drugs by going through a severe withdrawal phase. Not only stop from drugs, informants then studied religion and practiced it in everyday. Both informants in this study both quit drugs by autodidag and did not enter rehabilitation institutions. The factors that influence the spiritual transformation process are internal factors, consisting of the desire to live better and correct past mistakes. External factors consisting of encouragement from parents, motivation from the boarding school environment, and learning from the experiences of fellow drug users
