This research is a Research and Development (R&D) research. The development method uses 4-D research model which include 4 steps, namely (1) Define (2) Design, (3) Development, and (4) Disseminate. This research is limited to develop steps, which a small field test. These research instruments are validation sheet, assesment sheet, and student responses sheet. The quality of module used Likert scale with a scale of 4 and student response uses Guttman scale with a scale of 2 in checklist form. The result of this research is science teaching materials in the form of module using by local potential of cocoa chocolate processing on the concept classification of living things, temperature and heat for students SMP/MTs. This module developed used webbed type. The quality of scince module based on assesment of material experts, media experts, and science teacher has on very good (SB) category with mean score 3.94, 3.81, and 3.27 student‟s responses on small field test has on agree (S) category with mean score 0.99. %Z Pembimbing : Ika Kartika, S.Pd., M.Pd.Si.
