        abstract = {This research is important because no previous research has examined aqidah and
forgiveness. In Islam, aqidah is an important thing and is described as the
foundation of religious life. This study aims to determine the relationship between
faith and forgiveness in UIN Sunan Kalijaga students. The subjects of this study
were undergraduate students of UIN Sunan Kalijaga aged 21-25 years. This study
uses quantitative methods. The data was obtained by spreading the forgiveness
scale and faith scale to 390 students by using accidentental sampling technique.
Data analysis used in this research is Spearman Rho correlation. The results of
this study indicate a significance level of 0.00 and a correlation coefficient of
0.318. This shows that the hypothesis in this study is accepted. Thus, the stronger
the faith, the higher the forgiveness. The effective contribution of faith to
forgiveness is 10.1\%.}
