"In the era of globalization, human resources are one of the important\r\ncomponents that organizations must have in order to achieve organizational\r\ngoals, especially human resources in tertiary institutions, where universities\r\nhave an important role in creating quality human beings for the progress of\r\nthe nation. Improving the quality of higher education is one of the efforts\r\nthat must be continuously developed. This needs to be done because tertiary\r\ninstitutions are the institutions most related to the development and quality\r\nof human resources in a country. Thus this situation indicates that the needs\r\nand excellence of a nation are largely determined by the quality of higher\r\neducation institutions in that country, because the progress of human\r\nresources is largely determined by the level of progress of higher education\r\ninstitutions. Darussalam Gontor University in an effort to improve the\r\nquality of higher education conducts human resource management. With\r\nthis human resource management will be able to reach the institution.\r\nTherefore, researchers conducted research at the Darussalam Gontor\r\nUniversity as we know that this college is a boarding school-based\r\nuniversity that prioritizes Islamic values in every human resource. This\r\nresearch is related to human resource management in improving the quality\r\nof higher education at the University of Darussalam Gontor. \r\n \r\nThis qualitative descriptive study describes its findings as they are. \r\nData obtained through observation, interview, and documentation were\r\npresented in the form of texts or narration. Rector and Human Resource\r\nstaffs were the subjects of the study who exposed the management of\r\nworkers in the university. \r\nThe results showed that: 1) The implementation of human resource \r\nmanagement at Unida Gontor includes 11 aspects of management, namely \r\nplanning, organizing, directing, controlling, procurement, development,\r\ncompensation, integration, maintenance, discipline, and dismissal. As in the\r\ndevelopment of human resources by taking a professional and spiritual\r\napproach. The professional approach includes further study of degrees for\r\ndoctoral programs, scholarships in improving Arabic, journal and workshop\r\nliteracy, assignments, scientific studies. Meanwhile, the spiritual approach\r\nincludes dhikr, thinking, feeling, and exercising. 2) human resources are a\r\npriority in improving the quality of universities in Unida Gontor because,\r\nwith quality human resources, it can make it easier to achieve Unida's vision\r\nto become a superior university by integrating science and technology with\r\nIslamic science. With the background of a boarding school-based college, Unida is inseparable from continuing to strive to instill the teachings of\r\nIslam. 3) The human resource management strategy at Unida Gontor is by\r\nrecruiting human resources according to the criteria set by the University.\r\nThen the selection is in order to determine the capacity of human resources\r\nso that they get quality resources and are able to contribute professionally to\r\nthe institution from this selection that determines whether or not the HR is\r\naccepted.
