Sos. I, M. A abstract: Coronavirus Disease-2019 (Covid-19) is a disease that causes respiratory tract infections in humans by transmission or transmission through droplets, air, contaminated surfaces, and human waste. Increasing the number of cases in Indonesia, President Joko Widodo issued a policy in the field of education, namely the implementation of distance learning (online) to prevent the spread of Covid-19. During online learning, many obstacles are encountered, one of which is the lack of student motivation and the lack of teacher roles in distance learning. Students are no longer subjects. However, it becomes an object of learning. Therefore, effective teacher interpersonal communication is needed to increase student learning motivation during distance learning during the Covid-19 period. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an influence and magnitude of the influence of teacher interpersonal communication on student learning motivation in distance learning during the Covid-19 period. This type of research uses quantitative methods with the theory of Elaboration Likelihood Model. The research sample was 68 students of class VIII at SMP N 1 Bambanglipuro. The research instrument used a questionnaire. The results showed that the significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which means that the teacher's interpersonal communication has an influence on students' learning motivation. Teacher interpersonal communication has an influence of 44.6% on the variable of student learning motivation, while 55.4% is caused by other factors. So it can be said that there is a positive influence between interpersonal communication on student learning motivation. date: 2021-06-04 date_type: published pages: 145 institution: UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA department: FAKULTAS ILMU SOSIAL HUMANIORA thesis_type: skripsi thesis_name: other citation: Fitria Kusumawati, NIM : 17107030052 (2021) PENGARUH KOMUNIKASI ANTARPRIBADI GURU TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA PADA PEMBELAJARAN JARAK JAUH MASA COVID-19.
