Some of the children still cannot be creative in painting activities, especially painting according to the theme set by the teacher. Even in painting activities, children often feel bored and eventually the children paint randomly and do not finish their painting activities properly. The research objective was to determine the implementasion of exreacurricular painting activities to develop children’s creativity at RA Tiara Chandra Karapyak Panggungharjo Sewon Bantul. In anddition, it is also to determaine the impact of it’s implementation, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors for extracurricular painting activities. The type of this research is qualitative research. The research subject was RA Tiara Chandra, with the research sources were the principal, teachers, and students of RA Tiara Chandra. The object of research is the application of extracurricular learning at RA Tiara Chandra Krapyak Panggungharjo Sewon Bantul. Data collection techniques are through observation, interviews, and documentasion. The data analysis techniques was carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and verification, afterwards a conclusion was drawn. To test the validity of the data by tranggulating sources, through observation, interviews and documentation and source triangulation, from the principal, teachers, and students. The results showed (1) The implementation of exreacurricular painting activities to develop children’s creativity at RA Tiara Chandra was well. Implemented through three stages: implementation, planning, and evaluation. (2) Painting exreacurricular activities have a positive impact on student achievement in both academic and non-academic fields, exreacurricular activities make students art RA Tiara Chandra develop their own potential and creativity so as to help improve achievement, children become better at motor and cognitive, development. And the arts and these activities train children’s patience, (3) supporting factors in the implementation of painting activities include professional educator (educated), adequate facilities, pleasant environment. The inhibiting factors are educator who are less assertive (allowing children), the role of parents who pay less attention to children, passive learners. %Z Dr. Hj. Erni Munastiwi, MM
