abstract: The aim of this research was intended to (1) Develop an enrichment book
in the form of a physics cartoon book on kinetic theory of gases materials for senior
high school. (2) Determine the quality of physics cartoon book on kinetic theory of
gases materials that have been developed based on expert judgment.
The type of this research is Research and Development (R&D) that adapting
development procedures teaching materials according to Warsita (2008) and
combined with the procedure for making comic by ScottMcCloud (2006). The
development process in this research consist of three main steps: (1) planning
(needs analysis, material determination, preparation of learning achievement
indicators, and formating cartoon book design), (2) production (frafting a sript in
a story board and compiling a cartoon book), (3) evaluation (initial product
assessment, revision, and final product assessment). 
Product assessment was carried out by material expert, graphic expert, and
editors of physics book. In the material aspects, instrument used in the form of a
questionnaire with a likert skale which was made form of a checklist on a scale of
4. The score analysis was carried out from qualitative using the score analysis
technique according to Putro(2012). Meanwhile, the instruments used by graphic
expert and textbook editor are in the form of semi-open instrument accompanied by
an assessment score column 1 to 100 in each aspect. The score is converted into
qualitative data with a score conversion guide according to BSNP (2014).
The result of this development and development book product in the form of
a cartoon book entitled “Kartun Fisika Teori Kinetik Gas which has been assessed
fot its feasibility.Based on the product assessment conducted by material expert, the
product is categorized as “Good” with a scoe of 2,875 from 4 maximum score.
Bassed on the product assessment conducted by a graphic expert, the product is
stated to be in “very good” category with a score of 82,05 from 100 maximum
score. In the last step carried out by the physics book editor, the product is
declarated to be in the “Good” category with score of 76,67 from 100 maximum
score, with the description “eligible for revision”. The revision needed is a minor
revision and thr revision has been carried out according to the assessors
suggestions, so that it can be stated that the product is suitable for use as an
enrichment book, especially for senior high school student.
