"The background of this research is based on the\r\nphenomenon of the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic in\r\nIndonesia which has resulted in changes in the structure of\r\npeople's lives in all sectors, including the education sector. One\r\nof the efforts to limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus by the\r\ngovernment through the Ministry of Education is by changing\r\nthe face-to-face learning process in schools to distance learning\r\nor Learning From Home (BDR). So that learning\r\ncommunication that is usually carried out in schools with the\r\nsupport of other supporting facilities has now turned into online\r\nlearning communication through the media of cellphones,\r\ntablets, and laptops with supporting applications, namely\r\nWhatsApp in the form of video calls, voice messages, photos\r\nand simulation videos. The teacher as a facilitator must be able\r\nto create effective online learning communication. For this\r\nreason, a communication pattern is needed in the learning\r\nprocess to develop quality learning and overcome the problems\r\nabove. The purposes of this study are: (1) analyzing\r\ncommunication patterns in the learning process during the\r\nCovid-19 pandemic, (2) analyzing quality learning during the\r\nCovid-19 pandemic, (3) analyzing the development of\r\ncommunication patterns in realizing quality learning, (4) the\r\nimpact of communication in the quality learning process during\r\nthe Covid-19 pandemic.\r\nThis research is a case study research with qualitative\r\nmethods. The data collection methods are observation,\r\ninterview, and documentation. Data processing and data\r\nanalysis by performing data reduction and then drawing\r\nconclusions. So that the\r\ncommunication of teachers and students in the learning process\r\nduring the Covid-19 pandemic is not sufficient to be able to\r\nbuild a quality learning process, (3) developing communication\r\npatterns in realizing quality learning is to form effective\r\ncommunication by involving learning components. The three\r\ncommunication patterns are used in combination in the learning\r\nprocess to create changes in knowledge, behavior, and mutual\r\nunderstanding between teachers and students because the three\r\ncommunication patterns have different colors and shapes in the\r\nlearning process, (4) The impact of communication between\r\nteachers and students The learning process during the Covid-19\r\npandemic was also felt by students, teachers and parents.\r\nStudents feel bored, lack the motivation to learn, lack selfdiscipline,\r\n\r\naspects of child development are not optimal and\r\nchildren play cellphones more often. Teachers are not free to\r\nmonitor children's growth and development, teachers have to be\r\nflexible when doing video calls, and it is difficult to make\r\nassessments of children's growth and development and the\r\nrelationship between teachers and parents will be even tighter.\r\nCan train parents to be patient in dealing with and teach their\r\nchildren and the relationship between parents and children\r\nbecomes closer because children are always accompanied by\r\ntheir parents in learning."^^ .
