This research is a Research and Development (R&D) research. This development method uses a 4-D model, which includes (1) Define, (2) Design, (3) Development, and (4) Disseminate. This research is limited to develop steps, which a small field test. These research instruments are validation sheets, assessment sheets, and student response sheets. The quality of module used likert scale with a scale of 4 and student response uses Guttman scale with a scale of 2 in checklist form. The results of this research is physics teaching materials in the form of physics modules containing local wisdom in the process of making batik in Bantul for SMA / MA class XI on static fluid, temperature and heat. The quality of the physics module based on the results of the assessment of material experts, media experts, and physics teachers is in the very good category (SB) with a mean score of 3.53, 3.69, 3.53 and student?s responses on small field test has on agree category (S) with a mean score of 0.98 .
