abstract: This research was conducted at SDN 184/VI Talang Tembago II, Merangin Regency with the aim of knowing 1) The role of parenting patterns in fostering the moral character of students at SDN 184/VI Talang Tembago II; 2) Guidance of teachers on the moral development of students at SDN 184/VI Talang Tembago II; 3) Obstacles experienced by parents and teachers in fostering the morality of students at SDN 184/VI Talang Tembago II.
This study uses descriptive qualitative methods, with data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Then the data is analyzed by describing it. In this study, the main sources were parents and teachers as well as school principals and students as supporting data. The data is verified by using the validity of the data in the form of triangulation, then the data is analyzed by reducing the data, presenting the data and the final stage of drawing conclusions. The results of the research related to the role of Parenting and Teacher Guidance in the Guidance of Akhlakul Karimah of Students at SDN 184/VI Talang Tembago II, Merangin Regency: 1). The role of parenting as a role model in fostering the moral character of students is shown through attitudes, actions, and words, such as honesty, tolerance, discipline, responsibility, religion, and care for others and the environment, and the applied parenting pattern. by parents in fostering morality in children are authoritarian parenting and democratic parenting; 2). The guidance that teachers do in fostering morality is as follows: Instilling faith and piety, Cultivating noble character, Introducing the diversity of regional and environmental potentials, Introducing students to have creative, innovative and patriotic nature 3). parents and teachers in fostering the morality of students including; Lack of willingness to change from within students so that the guidance carried out by teachers and parents will not have any effect. Environmental influences and the increasingly advanced development of times and technology are not accompanied by the supervision of parents and teachers.
