"This study aims to 1) describe the process of developing a fairy tale book\r\nbased on local wisdom of Musi Rawas Regency as additional teaching material\r\nand a complement to the 2013 curriculum thematic book theme Loving Plants and\r\nAnimals fairy tale material for grade III students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nurul\r\nFalah Terawas, 2) Knowing the validity of fairy tale books based on local wisdom\r\nof Musi Rawas Regency as teaching material for grade III students of Madrasah\r\nIbtidaiayh Nurul Falah Terawas, 3) Knowing the differences in reading interests\r\nof students before and after using fairy tale book teaching materials based on local\r\nwisdom of Musi Rawas Regency as teaching materials for grade III students\r\nMadrasah Ibtidaiyah Nurul Falah Terawas.\r\nThis research is a type of research development (Research and\r\nDevelopment) using the development model according to Sugiyono which\r\nconsists of 8 steps. This research and development resulted in a product in the\r\nform of fairy tale book teaching materials based on the wisdom of Musi Rawas\r\nRegency as additional teaching material and a complement to the 2013 class III\r\nthematic book curriculum theme Loving Plants and Animals in fairy tale material.\r\nThe product of fairy tale book teaching materials based on local wisdom of\r\nMusi Rawas Regency was assessed for validity by media experts with an average\r\nscore of 92% in the very feasible category and the linguist's assessment obtained\r\nan average score of 90% with the very feasible category.\r\nBased on the analysis of the differences in students' reading interest\r\nbetween before and after using fairy tale book teaching materials based on local\r\nwisdom of Musi Rawas Regency with the paired sample t-test conducted through\r\nthe SPSS 21 program, the Sig value was obtained. (2-tailed), which is equal to\r\n0.000 <0.05, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the\r\nreading interest of students before and after the application of fairy tale book\r\nteaching materials based on local wisdom of Musi Rawas Regency to grade III\r\nstudents of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nurul Falah Terawas with comparisons the pretest\r\nmean score was 66.5909 and the post-test was 88.4091."^^ .
