Adolescents as individuals are in a developing process towards maturity or independence. This process towards maturity sometimes does not always run smoothly in line with the potential, expectations, and values it holds. It causes the character-building to be still only understood normatively instead of deep meaning in everyday life. Hence there needs to be a concrete and sustainable solution. Character-building efforts must be from an early age. As a culture-based school, SMA Negeri 1 Srandakan is a means to provide character-building education to students through Islamic Education. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to find out the main problems regarding 1) Character-building in Islamic Education program in SMA Negeri 1 Srandakan. 2) The analysis of character-building values in Islamic Education at SMA Negeri 1 Srandakan, and 3) The transformation from character-building in Islamic Education at SMA Negeri 1 Srandakan. This research is a type of qualitative research, with the research location in SMA Negeri 1 Srandakan. This study uses an educational psychology approach because the talks are about a person's behavior and experiences related to the educational process. Data collection is by conducting participatory observations or observations, in-depth interviews, and the same document simultaneously. Selecting and compiling the data obtained, then processed and analyzed and concludes. The triangulation technique checked the validity of the data. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Character-building in Islamic Education program in SMA Negeri 1 Srandakan as a whole is consists of 3 (three) aspects, namely: building class-based character education, building school culture-based character education, and building education character-based community culture. 2) Islamic Education in SMA Negeri 1 Srandakan through various activities both inside and outside the classroom. 3) The transformation from character-building in Islamic Education at SMA Negeri 1 Srandakan consists of knowledge, attitudes, and skills shows that student's behavior is in line with the values of character education. Teachers, parents, guardians, and students should build mutually supportive cooperation.} }
