The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the authoritarian parenting style and the emotional maturity of college students and to find out that there were differences in high and low emotional maturity between male and female students in Yogyakarta. The subjects of this study were 116 people whose parents worked as millitary personnel. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment and Independent Sample t-Test analysis techniques. The results of the Pearson product moment analysis rxy = 0.557 and p = 0.000 (p <0.05) means that there is a relationship between authoritarian parenting and emotional maturity of college students, and the results of the independent sample t-test Sig. 0.036 (p <0.05) means that there is a difference between men's emotional maturity and women's emotional maturity. Therefore, the higher the authoritarian parenting style of the parents, the lower the emotional maturity of college students. The contribution of emotional maturity to authoritarian parenting is 0.31 which means 31%. The remaining 69% percentage is influenced by other variables. %Z Zidni Immawan Muslimin, S. Psi., M. Si
