abstract: The competition inside the world of work in modern era is getting difficult, this
phenomenon cause anxiety to undergraduate student who are possibly still getting into
it. This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and selfefficacy
on anxiety facing the world of work in undergraduate students of UIN Sunan
Kalijaga. This research was conducted with undergraduate students at UIN Sunan
Kalijga who were working on their final thesis. The sample of this research was 102
students who were taken by random sampling technique. Data were collected using an
anxiety scale facing the world of work which has an alpha coefficient of 0.932 and the
social support scale has an alpha coefficient of 0.936 and the self-efficacy scale has an
alpha coefficient of 0.932. The statistical analysis technique used is multiple regression
analysis techniques. The results of the analysis show that there is a negative
relationship between social support and self-efficacy together with anxiety in facing
the world of work with a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05). The effective
contribution of social support and self-efficacy to anxiety in facing the world of work
is 45.9%. There is a negative relationship between social support and anxiety in facing
the world of work. The effective contribution of social support to anxiety in facing the
world of work is 39%. There is a negative relationship between self-efficacy and
anxiety in facing the world of work. The effective contribution of self-efficacy to anxiety
in facing the world of work is 60%.
