Siantari Rihartono, M.Si abstract: In the current era of globalization, social media is growing rapidly and everyone including children, adolescents, adults, and even elders uses it. The presence of social media, especially Instagram, certainly affects human behavior and social order, including in consuming an item. The convenience offered by Instagram is indeed very popular with its users, especially with the students. Unfortunately, this convenience could trigger unwanted things like overly consumptive behavior if not accompanied by good self-management. A person who is an active member of an organization should be able to manage himself better than those who aren’t. Being a member of an organization could make one understand better about priorities between needs and wants. This study aims to determine the scale of the influence of social media Instagram on the consumptive behavior of PC IPNU IPPNU management in Sleman Regency with 50 respondents. The theory used in this research is the Uses and Effect Theory. The research method used in this research is a survey method through simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study found that the influence percentage of how the usage of Instagram affects consumptive behavior is just 29,1%, which showed the scale of influence was at a weak level.
