abstract: The 2020 Pilkada process at its stages encountered many process dynamics due to a pandemic, namely the Covid-19 spread outbreak. Amid the uncertainty over the end of the Covid-19 pandemic, the term new normal (new life) appears. Therefore, Bawaslu Bantul also needs to prepare a special preparation in communication management so that it can still carry out its duties and authorities in the new normal era. This type of research is descriptive qualitative which aims to determine the communication management carried out by Bawaslu Bantul Regency in carrying out the duties and authorities in the 2020 Bantul Regional Election in the New Normal Era. Data collection methods using interview techniques, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the most prominent form of communication management was related to the implementation of technical communication where this was applied by Bawaslu in the process of technical guidance and socialization which was carried out directly even though it had to apply the new normal concept, namely new behavior related to new habits in the new normal era.
