The emergence of the corona virus has resulted in various impacts in the human life sector, one of which is the most influential is the education sector, which results in changes to the learning system which is usually carried out using face-to-face or conventional methods, for now it must be replaced by an online learning system. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were new students of the PIAUD UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh study program, the data collection techniques were through observation, interviews, and documentation. In this study, data analysis was carried out using four stages, consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data in this study was carried out using data trigulation techniques, which consist of technique trigulation and source trigulation. Trigulation techniques in this study are, observation, interviews and documentation. While the source trigulation in this study were new students, lecturers, and staff of the PIAUD Program Study. The results showed that the adaptation process carried out by new students in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic was as follows: online learning, for example watching tutorials on YouTube related to using online learning platforms, asking friends, parents, neighbors, siblings, lecturers, and through PBAK events and certain people who can help them during their online lectures. The form of online learning implementation is to use several platforms such as zoom meetings, google classroom, google meet, and whatshapp group.
