Through the Ministry of Religion and the Ministry of Education and Culture, the government continues to strive to make breakthroughs so that the learning process can continue even though it is limited. The primary step taken by the government is to develop an adaptation curriculum during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to determine the form of curriculum adaptation during the Covid-19 pandemic, the teacher's strategy to develop and implement an adaptation curriculum, and the impact of curriculum development and implementation on the achievement of competency targets in the educational institutions of MI Salafiyah Tajungsari Tlogowungu and SDN Sitiluhur 02 Gembong. The type of research used is a qualitative field study approach. The data sources were school principals, curriculum development team, grade 2 teachers, grade 4 teachers, Islamic education teachers, and physical education, sports and the arts teachers from the two educational institutions. The data collection method uses observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and verification. The method of testing the validity of the data used triangulation of sources and methods. The study results revealed that MI Salafiyah Tajungsari used an emergency curriculum by simplifying the subject matter into essential material. In contrast, SDN Sitiluhur 02 used the national curriculum by simplifying critical competencies. The strategies used by the teacher to develop and implement the adaptation curriculum both use the online mode using WhatsApp Groups and offline. The difference lies offline. Offline mode at MI Salafiyah Tajungsari carried out limited face-to-face meetings, while offline mode at SDN Sitiluhur 02 were children doing chores at home and was collected at school. The impact of developing and implementing an adaptation curriculum is that many students do not understand the teacher's material when using the online model. Access to online learning is still minimal for students. Competency targets cannot be maximally achieved because, based on government instructions, educational institutions must not complete knowledge.
