description: This research is motivated by the fact that memorizing the Al-Quran during adolescence towards adulthood experiences many emotional changes which have an impact on the success in memorizing the Al Quran. Emotional changes that are not managed by emotional intelligence will also affect changes in deviant behavior, so there is a need for steps in developing emotional intelligence through fulfilling aspects of emotional intelligence. This study aims to: 1) Know the implementation of the emotional intelligence approach of the Taḥfīẓ Al Quran program in MAN II Yogyakarta 2) Knowing the success of the emotional intelligence approach in the Taḥfīẓ Al Quran program in MAN II Yogyakarta 3) Knowing the implications of the emotional intelligence approach in shaping student morals through the Taḥfīẓ Al Quran program at MAN II Yogyakarta.  This research is a type of field research (Field Research), with a qualitative descriptive approach, which is one of the studies that aims to gain an understanding of reality with an inductive thinking process. The data collection methods used were interviews, observation, and documentation with purposive sampling technique.  The results of this study are as follows: (1) Taḥfīẓ Al Quran is a mandatory program at MAN II Yogyakarta and has been running for 6 years, this program is running by applying an emotional intelligence approach where teachers develop students' emotional intelligence by recognizing self-emotions, managing emotions, motivating themselves, getting to know other people's emotions (empathy), and fostering a harmonious relationship between teachers and students; (2) The success of the emotional intelligence approach to the Taḥfīẓ Al Quran program at MAN II Yogyakarta includes the Taḥfīẓ Al Quran program being more effective, students are more active in communicating with teachers related to learning Tahfiz Al Quran, and student problems are more resolved; (3) Implications of the intelligence approach emotional in shaping students' morals through the Taḥfīẓ Al Quran program at MAN II Yogyakarta, including: honesty, hard work, consistency (istiqāmah), responsibility, and discipline.
