TY - THES N1 - Pembimbing : Dr. Mahmud Arif, M.Ag ID - digilib46186 UR - https://digilib.uin-suka.ac.id/id/eprint/46186/ A1 - Abda Billah Faza Muhammadkan Bastian, NIM.: 18204030039 Y1 - 2020/12/18/ N2 - The purpose of this study is to analyze children's moral reasoning in Hikayat Kalilah and Dimnah according to the stages of development of Kohlberg's moral reasoning, how the structure of the story of Hikayat Kalilah and Dimnah reveals the aesthetics of moral reasoning and its relevance in early childhood education. The stages of Kohlberg's moral development that are in accordance with children's moral development are punishment and obedience orientation, instrumental relativist orientation and good child orientation, where the moral values studied in this study are the values of honesty, the value of compassion, the value of hard work and the value of friendship. Meanwhile, the structure of the story being analyzed is the character, title, setting, plot and language style. The research method used is library research with a content analysis approach. The primary data source refers to the Hikayat Kalilah and Dimnah by Ibn Muqoffa 'translated by Gamal Komandoko, while the secondary data source refers to the Kalilah wa Dimnah which is tahqiq by Abdul Wahhab Azzam Wathu Husain entitled tajmil kita>b Kalilat wa Dimnat and the stages Moral Development written by Lawrence Kohlberg translated by John De Santo and Agus Cremers. The results showed that: first, the stories in the Hikayat Kalilah and Dimnah represent two levels of moral reasoning, namely pre-conventional and conventional (punishment and obedience orientation, instrumental relativist orientation and good boy orientation), second, the story structure in the Kalilah and Dimnah saga which reveals aesthetics of moral values are more dominant to the characters.Third, the saga of Kalilah and Dimnah is relevant to early childhood education as a learning medium because it contains elements of padagogical, fable, in accordance with children's development and uses a chronological plot so that it is easily understood by children, however, there are not a few words that contain elements of violence so that it is not appropriate when used as a medium for children's learning.
