abstract: This research is aimed at finding out the use of internet at the Archives and Library Office of Banjarnegara Regency during the new normal era. The method used is qualitative with by taking six informants including five users and one librarian in the library of the Banjarnegara Regency Archives and Library Office. Data collection techniques employed observation, interview, study library and documentation. Data analysis using data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of the study found three important points. Firstly, internet serve as a means of professional development, because they can support education in the new normal era, share information from anyone and anywhere quickly, especially information related to the development of Covid-19 in Indonesia and throughout the world. Secondly, internet have a significant function as a learning resource. The internet is very effective for learning, especially for learners, such as getting subject matter, doing assignments, and sending assignments using internet facilities, such as file transfer protocol (ftp), e-mail. -mail, word wide web (www), and chat. Lastly, internet are used as a means of self-study quickly, because it can increase knowledge by getting it through blogs, websites, journals, articles, and others. This new normal era still shows the dominance of remote learning and interaction by utilizing Google Meet, Zoom, etc. It can also increase research development by relying on references from the internet.
