N2  - At the beginning of 2020, the world was in shock with the emergence of the Coronavirus outbreak or better known as Covid-19. This phenomenon is being felt and discussed by various media and the public. The confusion of information and the hectic discussion about this outbreak has drawn varying responses from the public, some of which have caused anxiety. This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of Covid-19 News Exposure on Television on the Anxiety Level of the People of Tampan District, Pekanbaru City by using quantitative research methods.
The sample was taken in this study using the solving formula, which is equal to 100 with a sample collection technique using probability sampling in the form of area sampling. Data analysis is using simple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of the analysis using simple linear regression, it shows that exposure to Covid-19 news on television on the level of anxiety has an effect of 11,8% and the other 88,2% is influenced by other factors outside the variables studied. So it can be concluded that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted.
