One of the things that determines task commitment is self-perception. The\r\naims of this study is to determine the relationship between self-concept and task commitment\r\nin students in junior high school. The subjects were 102 students of SMP Muhammadiyah\r\nPakem. Data were collected using a task commitment scale (11 items, Cornbach Alpha =\r\n0.859) and a self-concept scale (20 items, Cornbach Alpha = 0.859). The results of the\r\nregression analysis show that self-concept has a positive and significant relationship with\r\ntask commitment, this is evidenced by a significance value of 0.000 and a correlation\r\ncoefficient of 0.480.
