abstract: Recently, religious issues have received a lot of attention from the mass media in Indonesia. The call for a moral revolution echoed by FPI demands the government to do good according to Islamic law. This call coincided with the arrival of Habib Rizieq Shihab, a high priest of the FPI from Saudi Arabia. This call received significant pro and contra responses, both from the government and also several Islamic figures in Indonesia. Based on this, the researcher wants to
analyze how the call for this revolution was conveyed by the oldest online media in Indonesia, namely Detik.com. The researcher aims to find out how the detik.com online media framed factual events about the call for a moral revolution raised by FPI in November 2020. This study is a qualitative descriptive study using Zongdang
Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki model framing analysis, seen from the number of logical constructions, is syntax, script, thematic, and rhetorical. The research subjects used as sources of information were news articles on online media detik.com during November 2020 as many as fourteen news articles. Researchers found detik.com framed this call for moral revolution as a political problem by focusing on the current government system and Rizieq's efforts to implement his caliphate system. It involved several government officials, officials and Islamic figures who fought against the call.
