Two of the factors that affect stress are hardiness and coping strategies. This study aims to determine the relationship between stress, hardiness, and coping strategies of students who are writing the thesis. Correlational quantitative approach was used in this study with student of FISHUM UIN Sunan Kalijaga as the population. The number of samples used was 107 people with accidental sampling as a sampling technique. The instruments in this study were the Student-Live Stress Inventory (SSI), Dispositional Resilience Scale (DRS-15), and Brief COPE. The results showed that the major and minor hypothesis tests were accepted with a significance value (p) of the three hypotheses was 0.000 (p{\ensuremath{<}}0.05). This shows that hardiness and coping strategies simultaneously and not simultaneously have a significant negative relationship with student stress in writing thesis. The effective contribution of independent variables simultaneously was 0.320 (32\%), and not simultaneously was 0.306 (31\%) and 0.141 (14\%). Furthermore, another factors related to the student stress in writing thesis is: optimism, social support, etc.} }
