A. abstract: This study aims to understand the description of the adversity quotient experienced by Hafiz (memorizer of Qur’an) Students in their efforts to complete their education and complete their memorization. The informants in this study consisted of two students who had successfully completed memorizing the Qur’an while still in college. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of phenomenological research. Data collection methods are semi-structured interviews and non-participatory observation. The data analysis that used is Creswell’s data analysis technique. The method of validating the data in this study uses the triangulation method and theory as well as the reliability strategy from Creswell. The results of this study show that the AQ description of the two informants are influenced by several things including the initial motivation to memorize the Qur'an, the benefits and blessings felt during memorizing the Qur'an, the ability to manage time and set their priorities, set strategies to fulfill their targets as well as intentions and goals in their undergoing lectures. The description of the AQ of the two informants is also influenced by the factors that affect the AQ. In addition, there are other factors that can affect the AQ of the two informants, known as a sense of confidence and calm, some worship activities such as giving charity, praying and being prayed for, saying good things, got an example from parents, and the ability to do different activities in one place. Both informants tend to have the same responses to the difficulties and challenges they were facing, they were both climbers type.
