This research aimed to manufacture and evaluate the IoT-based humidity monitoring and controlling system on the black sugar palm fiber media using YL-69 soil moisture sensor module and NodeMCU microcontroller. The manufacture of humidity monitoring and controlling system on the black sugar palm fiber media involved the manufacture of earthworm (Lumbricus rubellus) cultivation area, as well as hardware and software manufacture. The evaluation of humidity monitoring and controlling system on the black sugar palm fiber media involved the test of accuracy, precision, and system success. The humidity monitoring and controlling system on the black sugar palm fiber media was successfully manufactured. This system consisted of two sub-systems namely monitoring and controlling systems. The monitoring system run to retrieve data and monitor the humidity of black sugar palm fiber media in the earthworm (Lumbricus rubellus) cultivation, and the controlling system run to maintain the humidity of black sugar palm fiber media in order to stay in the normal condition. Such systems has been evaluated and resulted the accuracy of 99.10%, precision (repeatability) of 99.40%, precision (reproductibility) of 99.59%, system success of 100%.
