This research model uses independent variables in the form of education, unemployment, income inequality and poverty. The objects of this research are 31 provinces in Indonesia with a research period of 2010-2019. The analytical tool used in this research is panel data regression. The results of this study indicate that education has no effect on crime. Unemployment has a positive and significant effect on crime. Income inequality has a positive and significant effect on crime. As for poverty, no influence on crime. This shows the important role of the quality of human development in a regional economy and the need for the role and intervention of the government in policy making to overcome the problems of unemployment, income inequality and poverty.
