"Philosophy studies have a greater potential for implication on the\r\naccess and development of the Arabic language education curriculum.\r\nThe curriculum on scholarly discourse in education has a philosophical,\r\nhistorical, psychological and sociological basis. Meanwhile, the device's\r\nprinciple and theory in the development of the Arabic language education\r\ncurriculum has not experienced significant progress, if seen from some\r\naspects. Firstly, that Arabic language as the language of religion is over\r\n14 centuries old. Secondly, the focus and development of the curriculum\r\nis not yet equivalent to other foreign languages. Third, the spirit and\r\norientation of the Arabic scholars have not grown and developed in an\r\neffort to be interrogated with other disciplines (interdisciplinary). Fourth,\r\nthe philosophical Foundation is less obvious, so the epistemological\r\nconstruction of the development curriculum of Arabic language education\r\nhas not represent needs in the field. It is behind this research, which aims\r\nto explore and find a skeleton epistemology of the curriculum of Arabic\r\nlanguage education from the thought Rusdy Ahmad Thua'imah.\r\nThe construction of research and findings in this study was\r\nobtained through a philosophical approach (Maqârabah Falsafiyah) and\r\nrefers to the type of literature research (library Research), which focuses\r\nmore on the theoretical philosophic than empirical tests. The source of\r\ndata acquisition in this research comes from books by Rusydi Ahmad\r\nThua'imah, and coupled with data sources in journals, books, internet and\r\nother data that is documentative. Data collection is a single\r\ndocumentation with stages: (1) Study the authenticity of documents or\r\ndata; (2) validity or correctness of the contents of documents or data; and\r\n(3) The relevance of documents or data with the subject matter examined\r\nin this study. Then the collected data is analyzed using the descriptiveanalytice\r\nmethod with the description, comparation, interpretation, and\r\nconclution stages. The theoretical framework used is the theory of\r\nKnowledge (Epistemology) or commonly called Theory of Science. In\r\ntheory there are at least four points, namely; Resources, methods or\r\nworkways, and validity.\r\nAfter thorough analysis and study, the results of this research\r\nobtained two findings in response to the academic anxiety contained in\r\nthe formulation of problems, namely: 1) language according to Rusdy\r\nAhmad Thu'aimah, not only as a means of communication, and the media\r\nexchange the thought and the idea more than that the Arabic language is\r\na language that reflects the human construction of its environment,\r\nnamely:, A symbol means expressing something that has the meaning\r\nbehind the mark. (b) The language is a sound, in the form of humanspeech. (c) Language is system, which is the rule by which something can\r\nwork optimally. (d) Language is customary, language is an inheritance\r\nthat has been received by mankind from generation to generation. (e)\r\nLanguages are cultural, language learning also learns the culture where\r\nthe language is born and grows. (f) Language is a communication that is\r\nable to convey his thoughts to others and to understand their ideas on the\r\nbasis of understanding (Al-Fahm) and to make an understanding (Al-\r\nTafahum).\r\n2) Foundation of the development of Arabic curriculum, according\r\nto Rusydi Ahmad Thu'aimah should be based on three things, first;\r\nLinguistics, second, sociology and third, learners. The relevance of the\r\nthought Rusydi Ahmad Thu'aimah in developing the Arabic language\r\ncurriculum in Indonesia can be seen in various aspects: (a) the level of\r\napproach, researchers found that the relevant approach to learners of\r\nArabic is a pragmatic-humanist approach; (b) The level of method\r\nresulting from this approach is the Audiolingual Method (Sam'iyyah\r\nSyafawiyah) and the Total Physical Response method; (c) The level of the\r\nEnglish language learner is the four material criteria of validity,\r\nsignificance, tendency, individual care and universality; and (d)\r\nevaluation level there are several principles of evaluation that must be\r\nheld as a standardized system of education institutions, namely the\r\nprinciple; is valid, educational, competency oriented, fair and objective,\r\nopen, sustainable and thorough. The findings in this study (Contribution\r\nto Knwoladge) is that there is an approach offered in Arabic learning that\r\nis a pragmatic-humanist approach (Muqârabah al-Baragmatiyah al-\r\nInsaniyyah)."^^ .
