        abstract = {Employment is important in the process of economic development in one area. The purpose of this study was to analys the effect of the level of education, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), regional minimum wages, and domestic investment in Java Island. The data used in this study is panel data regression analysis from 6 provinces in Java Island, i.e. Banten, Jakarta Capital Special Region, West Java, Yogyakarta Special Region, West Java, and East Java from 2005 to 2018. This study uses panel data regression analysis method and processed using the Eviews 10 software. Data are taken from the official of the central statistic agency (BPS). The result in this study showed that the variables of GDRP and regional minimum wages have a significant effect on the labor force absorption, while the variables education and domestic investmen have no significant effect on the labor force absorption.}
