This study uses a mixed method that is a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. The population in this study were all staff of the UIN Sunan Kalijaga Library. The sampling method used in this study is the saturated sample method. Quantitative data collection was done by distributing questionnaires while qualitative data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and documentation on three library staff. Quantitative data analysis in this study used Spearmen Rank Correlation, which was processed through the SPSS version 26 for Windows computer program, while qualitative data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model which includes the process of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Through a quantitative approach, the correlation coefficient value is 0.475 with a significance value of 0.005. Due to the significance of 0.005 < 0.05, the hypothesis is accepted, meaning that there is a relationship between cyberloafing behavior and cognitive dissonance in UIN Sunan Kalijaga Library staff. Through a qualitative approach, it was found that the three informants experienced cognitive dissonance when cyberloafing. The three sources of dissonance include logical inconsistencies, past experiences, and general opinion. The three resource persons overcome cognitive dissonance by changing behavioral elements, namely reducing cyberloafing behavior and adding cognitive elements, namely seeking justification and believing that cyberloafing can overcome boredom at work and can make tasks easier to do. date: 2021-06-21 date_type: published pages: 131 institution: SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA department: PASCASARJANA thesis_type: masters thesis_name: other citation: Suci Yanti Ramadhan, S.IP., NIM.: 18200010133 (2021) PERILAKU CYBERLOAFING HUBUNGANNYA DENGAN DISONANSI KOGNITIF (STUDI PADA STAF PERPUSTAKAAN UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA).
