ID - digilib47344 UR - https://digilib.uin-suka.ac.id/id/eprint/47344/ A1 - Abdul Karim Khoirul Huda, NIM.: 19204010004 Y1 - 2021/08/05/ N2 - The Al-Qur'an memorization program at the Al-Hakim orphanage was not fully implemented well due to the diverse backgrounds of the foster children and the different levels of learning motivation of the children. There are children who do not want to go to school and just want to memorize the Qur'an. There are also children who want to go to school but do not want to memorize the Qur'an, this is because their interest and motivation to learn is still low. This study aims to: (1) Explain the importance of students motivation in memorizing the Qur'an. (2) Describe the strategy of the Al-Hakim orphanage in motivating students to memorize the Qur'an. (3) Knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors at the Al-Hakim Orphanage in motivating students to memorize the Qur'an. The type of research used in this research is field research using qualitative research methods. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The process of data analysis through data reduction, data display, and conclusions. Data analysis used credibility test (validity interval), transferability (external validity), dependability (reliability), and confirmability (objectivity). There are three conclusions in this study as the formulation of the problem raised, namely: (1) Motivation in memorizing the Qur'an is very important for students, because with the motivation of students, the activity of memorizing the Qur'an is no longer a burden and compulsion that must be endured by students. When students have good motivation, the quality of memorizing the Qur'an produced will be better, undergo memorization more sincerely, memorize targets will be achieved, and be more enthusiastic to add memorization in order to achieve predetermined goals. (2) The strategies used by the Al-Hakim orphanage are to present an interesting and fun atmosphere, set goals and be informed to all members, inform students about the results achieved, give prizes and punishments, pay attention to the condition of each member, and form halaqoh. Through the formation of halaqoh, the Al-Hakim orphanage gives authority to educators to find ways to increase students motivation in memorizing the Qur'an. Supporting factors in motivating students to be active in memorizing the Qur'an include grants from donors, assistance from aliyah students who teach, peers and the students innate motivation.
