Other problems found were being late and skipping school and activities, bullying behavior that had an impact on poor social interaction and adolescent problems in general such as mood disorders. These problems need to be solved by the orphanage which acts as a substitute for the family for them by developing interpersonal intelligence and social and religious guidance so that they can socialize well and can learn to solve problems effectively. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the Umar Bin Khotob orphanage in the development of interpersonal intelligence to overcome delinquency in foster children in their teens. This research was conducted at the Umar Bin Khotob Orphanage, Bantul, Yogyakarta using qualitative methods. Sources of data in this study are: caregiver coordinator, head babysitter, head nanny for girls, mentors, foster children who are teenagers. The data collection techniques were observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. While the data analysis techniques carried out are through data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The data were analyzed using the data validity test of data triangulation. The results of this study indicate that: 1). The role of the Umar Bin Khotob orphanage in the development of interpersonal intelligence includes increasing self-awareness of foster children, developing social care attitudes, being able to communicate well and politely, and being able to listen well. 2). Efforts are being made to overcome juvenile delinquency by providing behavioral guidance to foster children aged teenagers, both individually and in groups, with social and religious guidance. 3). Supporting factors in the development of interpersonal intelligence at the Umar Bin Khotob orphanage are motivation, xi willingness, and good communication. And the inhibiting factors include the condition of the foster children, the nutrition obtained by the foster children, and the surrounding environment.
