The genealogical search aims to find out the scientific line of the two methods mentioned above so that it can become the scientific basis for the learning process of the art of reading the Qur'an and a reference for revitalizing noble values in the art of tila'watil Qur'an in the Minhajut Tamyiz Islamic boarding school environment. This study uses a historical approach, namely field research or field research which has a qualitative descriptive nature to reveal the genealogy of the research method. The data collection method used interview techniques, documentation and field observations. The results of the study show: 1) The learning process is carried out by prioritizing the tila'watil Qur'an method as the main focus of the material and the maqa'mat method as an alternative method that facilitates the learning process, 2) Genealogy of scientific lines of the tila'watil Qur'an method continued from Students ? Ustadz Tantan QB (Coach) ? Ustadz Zainal Abidin ? Sheikh Mustafa Isma'il (Egypt), 3) Genealogy of the line of knowledge of the maqa'mat method was continued from Students ? Ustadz Tantan QB (Coach) ? Ustadz Herfan Said ? Ustadz Muhammad Ali ?Sayyid Farid al-Atrasi (Egypt).
