Home education is the first childhood education and the second education is school education. Parents and teachers played an important role in building the character of responsibility for children during this covid-19 pandemic. The balance of character values parents and teachers impart to children determines a child's success. The purpose of this study is as follows: To determine how a teacher communicates with children during the pandemic, to find out how parents communicate with their children during the pandemic, to find out what the character of responsible children will be during the pandemic, to find out how the implication of teachers and parents communication in shaping the character of children responsibility during the pandemic. The study employed descriptive qualitative research methods. The subject involved the parents of the student group and the country kindergarten teacher 2 Lombok Tengah. The methods of data collection are observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses miles and Huberman models with data collection, data reduction, data display, and deduction drawing. Validity test technique of data by triangulation. The results showed: first, the form of teacher communication with children at the time of the pandemic, with student home visits at each hour, spending the best possible time at home learning time, accompanying the child when the teacher gives the task. Second is a parent's communication with children during the pandemic, which with more time to assist the child's learning and thus good promotes and comfortable communication between parent and child. The third is the character of responsible children during the pandemic, which is to assign chores to achieve a high sense of responsibility. Fourth, the implication of teacher and parent communication in shaping the character of child responsible during the pandemic, which is the effect of teacher and parent communication on the creation of the character and responsible of the child, the communication effort of teacher and parent in shaping the character of the child responsible during the pandemic. %K teacher and parent, character responsibility, covid-19 %D 2021 %I UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA %L digilib47582
