PMLI, the process of applying a special classification system on the processing of library materials in the library of Knowledge Management division of PT. PMLI was observed through by subject a). subject analysis, b). classification, c). labelling, d). shelving, and to find out the obstacles faced in the implementation process. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The technique of determining the source of information uses a purposive sample with five informants. The techniques of data collection in this study used semi-structured interview technique, passive participatory observation and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman method with data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and triangulation and member check. The results of the study explain that based on the results of interviews, observations and literature reviews, the form of a special classification system in the library of Knowledge Management division of PT. PMLI, divides the collection classification system chart into 5 major categories based on the type of collection, namely: 1). Textbook (TXT), 2). Reference (REF), 3). For general collections, it uses the DDC classification system and is used as Lino's Corner. Based on the results of interviews, observations and literature reviews, the process of implementing a special classification system is observed through 4 stages, namely: 1). subject analysis, 2). classification, 3). labelling, 4). shelving, but in the manual it has not been explained in detail. As for the application of a special classification system in the library of Knowlage Management division of PT. PMLI only found several obstacles, namely the number of special and foreign terms on the subject so that librarians are required to further explore the terms and subjects used, as well as the lack of detailed rules in the guidelines for library governance of the PT.
