Difficult times can be passed with patience and perseverance. The beginning of the journey of Islamic da'wah, accompanied by the oppression and resistance of the Quraysh infidels against muslims because of the emergence of Islam. They feared losing the faith of their forefathers.The journey of da'wah has very relevant values applied in character education.Therefore, the purpose of this research is; (1) to know the urgency of prophet Muhammad's preaching of Makkah periodas a reference character education in madrasah, (2) to know the values of the character of the Prophet Muhammad's da'wahMakkah period that can be applied in learning in madrasah, (3) to know the relevance of the values of the character of the Prophet Muhammad's da'wahMakkah period in madrasah education. This research is qualitative and is a library study. Data analysis techniques are performed by deductive methods by specifying objects of a general nature, drawing conclusions of a Special nature, and content analysis methods. The result of this study is (1) da'wah prophet Muhammad Makkah period has the urgency to be studied as a reference character education in madrasah, which teaches 4 characters, first, tawhid character as a spiritual provision by introducing God, God's relationship with man, and human duty. Second, the character educates with precision. Third, the character of the membership, teaches learners to be cadres of goodness based on religious values. And fourth, the character of social development. (2) The values of the character of the Prophet Muhammad's da'wah in makkah period that can be applied in learning in madrasah are: tawhid, conscientiousness, sincere, optimistic, tawadhu' (humble), hijra, patient, fair and respect the teacher. (3) Character education of prophet Muhammad's da'wah period in Makkah is very relevant to be applied in madrasah education as a provision of spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and social sensitivities %Z Pembimbing : Dr. H.
