The teacher is a determining factor for the success of education. Teachers who master professional competence and have good work motivation can have an influence on the process and quality of student learning outcomes, thereby also influencing the improvement of the quality of education in Indonesia. This study aims to determine (1) the effect of teacher professionalism on teacher performance, (2) the effect of work motivation on teacher performance, (3) the joint effect of teacher professionalism and work motivation on performance. This research was conducted at MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung. The background of this research is to obtain quality student learning processes and outcomes, of course, maximum teacher performance is needed. However, what happens in the field is that there are still teachers who are less than optimal in carrying out their duties, causing learning activities to be disrupted, so researchers discuss how the performance of MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung teachers. This research is a post expo facto research using quantitative research methods. The population of this research is all teachers at MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung, totaling 86 teachers. The sampling technique used is random sampling with the intention that each subject has the same opportunity to be sampled. Data collection techniques were by using a questionnaire/questionnaire, and documentation. The validity test of the data used was the validity test and the reliability test. The analysis prerequisite test included normality test, and linearity test.
