UIN Sunan Kalijaga as one of the competing universities, using social media, which is advertisements on Instagram as a promotion activity. The activity was carried out in order to attract new students to enroll the postgraduate program of UIN Sunan Kalijaga which still lacked of interest. This study aims to determine the effect of UIN Sunan Kalijaga instagram advertising on study interest in college. The research used a quantitative survey method, that using questionnaire through Google form as data collection methods to the postgraduate student applicants of UIN Sunan Kalijaga. There were 74 respondents in this study. Data processing techniques in this study used SPSS version 25 for windows application, using a Likert scale. Through the results of this study, it can be seen that there is an effect of advertising on the UIN Sunan Kalijaga instagram on college interest. It shown through the results of the significance that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. The influence of advertising on Instagram on study interest in college is 69% and based on the results of the correlation coefficient it was known that the influence of advertising on Instagram on study interest in college has a very strong relationship. %K advertising, postgraduate, college interest, instagram %D 2020 %I UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA %L digilib47896
