However, student responses to problems also vary, some are able to solve problems adaptively, not a few are able to solve problems maladaptively. This study aims to determine the relationship between cognitive flexibility, emotional intelligence and problem solving perception of students in Yogyakarta. The sample in this study is undergraduate students from universities in Yogyakarta with a total of 606 students. The sample is taken by applying an accidental sampling technique. The measuring instruments used in this study are Cognitive Flexibility Scale (CFS), Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale (SEIS) and Persepsi problem solving Inventory (PSI). The technique used in analyzing the data in this study is multiple linear regression techniques. The finding shows that there is a positive relationship between cognitive flexibility and emotional intelligence together with the problem solving perception. This is indicated by the regression coefficient value of 0.736 and a Significance level of 0.000 (p <0.05), and it means that the hypothesis is accepted. The higher the cognitive flexibility and the emotional intelligence, the higher the in problem solving perception. The cognitive flexibility variable has a regression coefficient value of 0.696 with a Significance level of 0.000 (p <0.05), and it means that cognitive flexibility affects the problem solving perception. The effective contribution given by the variable of cognitive flexibility to the problem solving is 48.4%. However, the emotional intelligence variable has a regression coefficient value of 0.580 with a Significance level of 0.000 (p <0.05), and it means that the emotional intelligence affects the problem solving perception. The effective contribution given by the variable of emotional intelligence to the persepsi problem solving is 33,6%. %K Perception of problem solving, cognitive flexibility, emotional intelligence, college students %D 2021 %I UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA %L digilib48153
