These sudden changes have potential to increase academic stress experienced by students, especially for new collage students who are just starting to adapt to the lecture environment. The purpose of this study was to explore the dynamics of academic stress that occurs in new collage students during online learning. The research method used in this research is qualitative phenomenology. The data collected through online interviews with three new collage students who experienced symptoms of academic stress. The analysis used is data reduction techniques, categorization and conclusions. The result of this research is that academic stress experienced by new collage students comes from internal and external factors. External factors are caused by an unfavorable environment, limited facilities, expensive internet fees, limited discussion media, lack of communication processes and too many assignments. The symptoms experienced by new students are felt in two aspects, namely physiological and behavioral. The perceived impacts include anxiety and panic related to the lecture process, disappointment with the lecture process, boredom and decreased academic performance. The overall impact felt by new collage students tends to decrease after the end of semester exams are implemented due to the loss of academic burden felt by new students.. %Z Candra Indraswari, S.
