However, every student who is in school has its own characteristics such as family background, behavior and mental physical which makes some students have difficulty adjusting to their peers and carrying out the learning process due to lack of confidence or ability in themselves so that a lack of self-confidence arises. on students.Guidance Psychowritingis a term that is rarely or not widely used in training or learning programs. However, the author has a tendency that this term is a family of creative or innovative learning concepts with many benefits from writing which is expected to provide increased self-confidence to students. The purpose of this study is to identify and describe the steps taken by the supervisor in theguidance process psychowriting to increase self-confidence studentat SMP N 4 Pakem Sleman. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The research method was carried out by non-participant observation, interviews with subjects at SMP N 4 Pakem Sleman and equipped with documentation. The results of this study are that there are four stages carried out in increasing self-confidence, students'namely the formation stage, the transition stage, the implementation stage and the termination stage. %Z Pembimbing: Dr. H.
