        abstract = {Indonesia is a country with a majority Muslim population, so zakat has the
potential to be used as a driver of community welfare. One of these efforts is carried
out by distributing funds from zakat collection as productive business capital. Baitul
Maal Jogokaryan Mosque is one of the institutions that distribute zakat funds for
productive purposes. This study aims to examine whether there are real and
significant differences between capital, total sales, and business profits of mustahik
before and after receiving business capital assistance from the Baitul Maal
productive zakat fund, Jogokaryan mosque. Data were analyzed using descriptive
statistical methods and different tests (paired sample t test). The object of this
research is mustahik who is given capital assistance from productive zakat funds by
the Baitul Maal of the Jogokaryan mosque. The results of the study conclude that
there are real and significant differences between capital, total sales, and business
profits of mustahik before and after receiving business capital assistance from
productive zakat funds. This means that the distribution of productive zakat funds
has a good impact on the development of mustahik businesses.}
