%X Regional economic development should have an impact on the welfare of  the community, especially in terms of poverty alleviation and the achievement of  food security. However, the reduction in the poverty rate in Kuningan Regency  from 2013 to 2020 is still relatively slow. Likewise with food security, where  Kuningan Regency belongs to the category of food insecurity. This study aims to  analyze poverty in the perspective of the Multidimensional Poverty Index, analyze  what factors affect food security and whether poverty status affects food security.  By using the Alkire-Foster Multidimensional Poverty Index perspective, which  consists of 4 dimensions and 9 indicators. The results of this study indicate that  the multidimensional poverty rate of Kuningan Regency is 19.66% higher than the  monetary poverty rate of Kuningan Regency of 12.82%. The most deprived  households are indicators of length of schooling, protein consumption, and  calorie consumption. The results of food security using Ordered Logistics show  that the type of work, poverty status, number of family members and income have  a significant effect on food security. This study proves that multidimensional poor  households are very likely to become food insecure households.
