%X This study aimed to measure the influence of family communication on student achievement motivation during the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic was a disease outbreak that spreads very widely throughout the world, including Indonesia on March 2020. The pandemic had an impact on all areas of life, one of which was the education sector. The government had taken a policy to study from home, as an effort to reduce the impact of the spread and sufferered of Covid-19. Parents have an important role as long as students study at home. The teaching and learning process, which was previously face-toface, had been changed to online. This online learning and teaching process has been running for more than a year, making many students feel bored, less productive and passive in terms of motivation to reach achievement. But this didn‟t apply to students at MAN Insan Cendekia Ogan Komering Ilir, South Sumatra Province, even though in the midst of the pandemic they still have a myriad of achievements. Family communication by parents to increase their children's motivation is one of the influential factors. This study used quantitative methods and the theory of behaviorism. Data was collected using a questionnaire (google form) which was distributed to 163 students of MAN Insan Cendekia OKI with stratified random sampling technique. Results Based on the research, the correlation value of R between family communication variables and children's achievement motivation variables is 0.554, which means that the level of relationship between family communication variables and students' achievement motivation variables was quite strong. The value of the coefficient of determination obtained was 0.307 (30.7%). So it could be concluded that the family communication variable had an influence of 30.7% on the achievement motivation variable in children, while the other 69.3% was caused by other factors, also obtained a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 so it could be ascertained that HO was rejected and HI was accepted.
