One of the local potentials that can be used as a source of learning is the potential for palm oil waste. This research aims to (1) produce local potential-based science modules (2) identify the quality of local potential-based science modules (3) identify the response of learners and the implementation of science modules local potential-based. This research is called a Research and Development (R&D). The development refers to the 4-D model which includes 4 steps, namely (1) Define (2) Design (3) Develop (4) Desseminate. The study is conducted until the development stage is limited to extensive trials. The research instruments used are in the form of validation sheets, module quality assessment sheets, student response questionnaire sheets, and implementation observation sheets. The validation sheet analyzes descriptively using data triangulation techniques. The assessment of the quality supply of local potential-based science modules uses a likert scale with a scale of 4, and the response of learners uses the Guttman created in the form of a checklist. Meanwhile, the implementation of the module uses the descriptive observation sheets. The result of this study produces a local potential-based science module with the reference to the webbed type integration model. The quality of science modules that based on the assessment of material experts, media experts, and science teachers obtains the Excellent Category (SB) with consecutive average scores of 3.46; 3.71; and 3.66. The responses of the learners against modules on limited trials and extensive trials obtains the category of Agree (S) with the average scores of 0.96 and 0.95. The results of the implementation of the science module based on the local potential in the broad test are that there are still 2 students who do not understand about the heat transfer, and 5 students who do not understand the environmental pollution material.
