Sukiman, M.Pd. abstract: This research is motivated by the lack of awareness of students and parents in applying the value of honesty during online learning. The issue of academic cheating is rife, such as parents who do their children's school assignments or help find answers via the internet. This study aims to (1) examine and describe the strategy of Aqidah Akhlak teachers in instilling honest character through online learning in on VIII B grade students of MTsN 9 Bantul Yogyakarta, (2) analyzing the problems faced by Aqidah Akhlak teachers in instilling honest character through online learning on VIII B grade students of MTsN 9 Bantul Yogyakarta, (3) knowing the results achieved in instilling honest character through online learning on VIII B grade students of MTsN 9 Bantul Yogyakarta. The type of research is a mixed-method, namely research by connecting two types of research (qualitative and quantitative). The design used is the exploratory design. In this design, the first step is to collect qualitative data and then proceed to collect quantitative data. The data collection techniques are interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and observation. The author uses two stages of data analyzing, namely qualitative data analysis including data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Then, quantitative data analysis techniques using the average formula and finally formulating using categorical data. The results of this study indicate that: First, in instilling honest character in students, giving confidence to students to carry out independent tasks by using a Google Form whose order of questions and answers randomly. Additionally, the teacher also prepares to learn well, designs a bold learning program with assessments based on character, and collaborates with parents of students. Second, the problems experienced by Aqidah Akhlak teachers in instilling honest character in students are (1) the lack of parental attention in accompanying students during the learning process and (2) teachers cannot directly control student activities in working on exam questions. Third, based on the results of the questionnaire analysis, an average value of 40.25 was obtained with 28% being in the good enough category.
